Have you ever had students who had a difficult time focusing?
Hocus Pocus Learn to Focus is a fictional story which demonstrates the factual problems children can have with focusing. The story is a fun way to show students different strategies to solve their focus problems.
Randy Cazell is an elementary guidance counsellor who wants to help students learn practical approaches to help them focus in school. Her six year old granddaughter LP contributed the 'life' to the story by creating and illustrating each character.
There are several practical activities included at the end of the book. These can be used with elementary students to help identify focus problems and to develop individual focus plans.
