Target Group:

This programme is designed for managers / supervisors interested in developing on-going practical mindfulness skills and behaviours as a way of leading others decisively, intuitively and compassionately through change and challenge, of optimising workers’ emotional harmonious engagement, of developing mindful ways to re-humanise workplaces, of reducing their own mental distraction, continuous partial attention and work-related stress, and of implementing enduring evidenced-based ways to support health and well-being.

People don’t leave jobs. They leave people. At the heart of mindful leadership is the ability to understand people and guide them skilfully through change. In this workshop participants develop an experiential understanding of mindfulness and then consider its relevancy and application in the creation of contextural, resonant leadership, including skills related to emotional self-regulation and interpersonal insight. Participants will also develop an intimate understanding of mindfulness as a self-care regimen.

Workshop Outline:

  • Mindful awareness and self-regulation during times of stress
  • Identifying stress-related patterns of thinking
  • The neuroscience of mindfulness and stress
  • Interpersonal mindfulness skills
  • Applying preventive and recuperative self-care practices to alleviate leadership stress
  • Building a mindful workplace
